Hello WMES Families,
It's been a wonderful first two weeks of school!. We've visited classrooms and seen students practicing routines and developing shared expectations with their teachers. We hope you have heard about the wonderful things that have taken place during these first two weeks.
We will have our annual Back to School Night on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 6:30 pm . During this time, you will have a chance to hear from the administrative team, PTA, our specialists, and your child's teacher. We hope you are able to join us. The evening is intended to be for parents only, but please bring your school aged children if childcare is a concern. Our specialists have activities planned and will be working with the students that come.

Did you know the Washington Mill staff could dance? During our teacher Welcome Back Week, Mr. Wilson taught the staff the "Back to School Shuffle." The staff had a wonderful time getting together and dancing. Check out the school's website for the video! |

Closing Circle:
At the end of each day students and teachers throughout WMES form a Closing
Circle to end the day in a positive way. Closing Circle is a piece of
Responsive Classroom, which gives teachers a manageable peaceful way to end the
day and leaves students feeling a sense of purpose and belonging.
