Back to School Night

The 2018 - 19 school year is underway and we are off to a great start! The students are excited and the teachers are ready to have another rigorous yet rewarding year.

We would like to invite you to Back to School Night on 9/12/18 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.  This is a wonderful opportunity to meet your student’s teachers and learn what exciting content they have planned for this year.  SGA students will be posted in the hallways to help you navigate the building.

Details:

Parking:  Please park in the parking lot and enter the building at Door #1.

Student Schedule:  There will be three ways for you to access your child’s schedule for the event:

  1. Your student will fill out a form in their last class period on BTSN to bring home to you
  2. You can access your child’s schedule through ParentVue in SIS
  3. You can come to the main office and have it printed for you from 6:00-6:30 pm

Physical Education:  9th and 10th grade PE/Health classes will all meet in the auxiliary gym during your student’s regularly scheduled class.

Personal Fitness: will meet in the weight room during your student’s regularly scheduled class.

ParentVue:  If you need to set up ParentVue, please come to the main office

Academy Classes:  Academy Classes will meet in the library-this will be a free period as those classes are off campus.

SENIOR FAMILIES-There will be a senior parent meeting prior to this event at 5:00 in the auditorium.  A post card has already gone out but if you have any questions please email your student’s counselor.

There will be an orchestral quartet playing in the lobby to welcome you to the event.  We look forward to seeing all of our Lancer families!

Revised Student Parking Information

Student Parking: The student parking is the lot directly in front of the school.  These spaces have been identified with a number in the parking space.  If a student plans to park on school grounds, a parking permit is required.  The sale of parking permits must be arranged with Lee security staff. Parking permit applications WILL NOT be accepted through the mail.

For students to park on school grounds, they are required to complete an Application For Use of Private Automobile (IS-141) form, and a Lee High School Student Parking Agreement. If both are not completed and signed, a permit will not be issued. Both forms are available in the Main Office or in the Security Office. Please bring both signed forms and a check for the appropriate amount made out to Lee High School.  Both forms can also be located on the Lee website: https://leehs.fcps.edu/resources/student-parking .

The full cost for a student parking permit is $200. If spaces are still available, the cost decreases by $50 every grading period. Parking permit fees for students eligible for reduced-price or free lunch are as follows:

  • Reduced-Meal Price: 1st quarter-$100; decreases $25 each quarter
  • Free Meal Price: $20

*NOTE: In order to qualify for the reduced/free rate, students must produce the proper documentation of their reduced/free meal status.

Students who park on school grounds without a school parking permit will be ticketed $50.  Students with multiple parking violations risk having their vehicle towed.

Visitor parking: Visitor parking is located directly in front of the main entrance.  Please do not park in student parking spaces, which will be identified with a number in the parking space.
