BACK TO SCHOOL
NIGHT – SEPTEMBER 5, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
All parents are
invited to attend Back to School Night (BTSN) on Wednesday, September 5, 2018
from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Parking at the school will be limited, but
additional parking will be available across the street at Herndon United
Methodist Church. Also,
families should follow directions from staff who will be directing them into
the parking lot. Please see the map below or here for details.
On Wednesday, September 5, students will bring home a copy of their schedule for parents to follow during BTSN. If you do not receive your student’s schedule, please go to Student Services on the evening of Wednesday, September 5 for a printed copy. All parents should be in their student’s first period class at 6:30 pm. Students are welcome to attend BTSN as interpreters for their parents if necessary.
We also encourage parents to attend our pre-BTSN activities in the cafeteria from 5:30 – 6:25 p.m. During that time, parents will have the opportunity to sign up for a SIS Parent Account or FCPS 24-7 Learning Parent View, register their student for the PSAT, pay senior dues, purchase a yearbook, get information from various student clubs and organizations, buy Herndon spirit gear, buy water and/or light snacks, support their child’s class through various fundraisers, and more. We will also have information about Family Life Education and opt-out information in the Main Gym.
Parents are encouraged to print the attached HHS map (upstairs and downstairs) and bring it with them to BTSN.

Noche de
Regreso a la Escuela (BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT) – September 5, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Todos los padres
están invitados a asistir a la Noche de Regreso a la Escuela (“Back to School
Night”) el 5 de septiembre entre las 6:30 y 8:30 p.m. El emparqueo será limitado, pero también habrá emparqueo en Herndon United Methodist
Church en frente del colegio. Además, las familias deben seguir las instrucciones del personal que las dirigirá al estacionamiento. Por favor, mira el mapa de arriba o aquí para más detalles.
El miércoles 5 de septiembre, los estudiantes
recibirán una copia de sus horarios de clase para llevar a casa. Los
padres deben traer este horario el miércoles para la Noche de Regreso a la
Escuela. Si los padres no reciben el horario de su hijo(a), se puede
preguntarle a la Oficina de Servicios para Estudiantes entre las 5:30 y 6:30
p.m. el miércoles, y nosotros imprimiremos el horario. Si los padres
necesitan un intérprete, sus hijos(as) pueden asistir al evento para facilitar
la comunicación.
También, los
padres están invitados a venir a la cafeteria a las 5:30 p.m. En la
cafeteria, habrá mesas para información de la escuela, de programas
específicos, para registrar para el PSAT, hacer los pagos del grado 12 (“senior
dues”), comprar camisetas de la escuela, y más. A las 5:30 p.m. en al
auditorio, tendremos también una
session sobre el programa de inglés como segunda lengua para los padres
hispanohablantes.

impriman y lo llevan a la Noche de Regreso a la Escuela.
