The first PTA meeting of this school year will be held on Tuesday, September 11th at 7:00 p.m. in the library.
Everyone is welcome!
You do NOT have to be a PTA member to come and hear about what projects
and goals we have for this exciting school year. If you are unable to be here with us, but you want to follow along, the meeting will be live streamed via Facebook.
A BBQ lunch sponsored by Food and Nutrition Services is scheduled for Monday, September 10th. Parents are invited to join us for this event. The cost is $4.50 for parents and $3.25 for students.
The BBQ menu consists of:
Entrée – Choice of one
- Hamburger on Bun
- Cheeseburger on Bun
- Veggie Burger on Bun
- Turkey Hot Dog on Bun
- Turkey Half Smoke on Bun
Vegetables
– Choice of two
- Celery Sticks and/or
- Baby Carrots
Fruit
– Choice of One
- Apple Slices or
- Orange Quarters
Milk – Choice of one
Spiritwear ordering is well under way but there is only ONE
WEEK LEFT!!!. Simply, follow these directions to ensure your child’s
order will be processed under their classroom teacher:
- Go to http://orderschoolstuff.com/leescorner18
- Type in the password SUPERpower (case sensitive)
- Fill your cart with the items you’d like to purchase.
- CHECKOUT – make sure to fill in all information in
order to insure accuracy.
- Click Complete Order.
Items may be ordered between now and Friday, September 14th
at 11 PM. It will be delivered by Columbus Day. Lees Corner
Spiritwear is a great opportunity for you to show your school spirit while also

Each year, Lees Corner Elementary
School earns thousands of dollars from the purchases our families make at
grocery and retail stores. Last year we made $6,175! There
are three effortless ways to earn money for Lees Corner: 1) grocery
store loyalty programs; 2) online shopping, and 3) the Benefit mobile app on
your cell phone (just one person earned $200 for Lees Corner using this app
last year!). Please see the Keep In Touch message you received yesterday for more information and thank
you for your support!
On Wednesday, September 19th, students will be dismissed 3 hours early, at 12:35 p.m. Please make transportation and child care plans now for September 19th.
The lunch schedule on the early dismissal days will be modified to allow all students to have lunch.
There will be four additional 3 hour early dismissal days this school year to provide time for staff development. They are scheduled for the following dates:
Friday, December 14th
Friday, January 18th
Monday, March 11th
Thursday, June 13th
Please note that these dates are incorrectly listed as 2 hour early dismissal days on the magnetic school calendar that is passed out at Back to School Night.
School Picture Day is scheduled for Wednesday, September 26th. Ordering information will go home on Wednesday, September 12th.
