BTSN Information
2018 Back to School Night Reminder and Feedback
Thank you to all of our 10th and 11th grade families who visited September 5 for the first of our two Back to School Night (BTSN) events. We look forward to welcoming our 9th and 12th grade families next week on September 12 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Note: for parents of seniors only, there will be a College Information session with counselors starting at 7:15 p.m. in the auditorium.
If you attend BTSN on September 12, please plan ahead for traffic and parking! Our lots at TJHSST will be filled by 4:45 p.m., so we recommend you drive directly to Holmes Middle School where shuttles will transport you. Traffic will back up on Braddock Rd. so plan accordingly.
In an effort to make the BTSN experience as rewarding as possible, we are asking parents to take a moment and provide feedback to help us plan future BTSN events.
All parents who attend either or both nights are welcome to share feedback on this Google Form.

PSAT Information
PSAT Fee
All students in grades 9-11 will take the PSAT on Wednesday,
October 10, 2018. FCPS pays the fee for 9th and 10th
graders; however, 11th grade students must pay $20 to have their
exams scored. Payment for juniors can be made through the MySchoolBucks
Store. The payment deadline is October 1, 2018. Contact

PSAT Pre-Survey
At the beginning of the PSAT, students are presented with a voluntary pre-survey that asks questions about a variety of topics. Parents have the opportunity to preview the survey administered at the beginning of the PSAT, and to opt out, if they choose to do so. Parents/guardians may view the pre-survey questions and access further information about this option on the PSAT Pre-Survey Opt-Out Policy public webpage at: https://www.fcps.edu/node/36639. Pre-survey opt-out forms must be returned to Leslie Barnhart, Assessment Coach, at TJHSST by Friday, September 28, 2018. If you choose to opt your student out of the pre-survey, please be sure your student knows they should not answer the pre-survey questions at the beginning of the test.
