Good afternoon WMES families,
Our staff was so excited to greet the kids back this
week! We’ve missed the kids and seeing
all of you, and it feels wonderful to begin a new year! Check out these photos from our first week
back…
 
Teachers and admin met in the summer to write our school
plan. Part of our work pertained to
schoolwide expectations. We had grade
level morning meetings this week where we built relationships and reviewed with
students.
Enrollment for 4th grade went up this week and
6th grade went down. We made
adjustments by condensing 6th grade classes and adding an additional
4th grade class that begins Tuesday.
Students and parents were excited for the change.
Kindergarten is already working hard to teach kids their
colors. They’re hoping all the kids in
the school can help by wearing something with these colors for the next two
weeks. Please don’t buy anything
new. If students can try and wear what
you already have on the days listed below, it will be a big help and lots of
fun for our kindergarteners.
