Class
Dues Information:
Each high school must pay for the cost of all class
activities and events, with Graduation being one of the most important and
expensive, individually. The school system does not give the schools funds for
any of these activities. Dues are collected senior year (previously being split
between junior and senior year) for this purpose. Since quite a few events
occur senior year, here is a partial list of what your dues pay for: all class
activities, including Convocation and Graduation, along with practices for the
actual events. Graduation is the largest cost item, running about $40,000 each
year. Some of these expenses include: rental of Eagle Bank Arena (approximately
$17,000) * Security (police) at Graduation (over $500) * Caps, gowns, tassels
and diploma covers (over $11,000) * Flowers (used at all three events) *
Printing for all events (over $2,000) * Set-up costs (custodians) * Bus costs
for band and chorus who perform at Graduation
These are only part of the costs for putting on the
terrific graduations we have each year so that they are a memorable occasion
for all. In addition, it is tradition that each year the senior class presents
a gift to the school.
**Senior
class dues and any other obligations must be paid in order to buy Prom tickets
or participate in the graduation ceremony.
If you have any questions, please contact Robyn Lady ralady@fcps.edu
in Student Services, class administrator for the Class of 2019. You may check

Kiefaber nmkiefaber@fcps.edu

Thank you!
