Monday, September 3rd is Labor Day and schools will be closed.
Our first Back to School Night is scheduled for Tuesday, September 4th for grades K, 2, and 5. Back to School Night for grades 1, 3, 4, and 6 is scheduled for Monday, September 17th. A detailed schedule was sent in a Keep In Touch (KIT) message.
School Pak has contacted us about possible missing
supplies and even whole packs due to a change in their supplier over the
summer. If your whole pack is missing,
please write to ptapresidentlces@gmail.com
If individual items are missing, let your teacher know. We are gathering a list as quickly as
possible.
When your child will be absent from school, tardy, or leaving early, parents should inform the school by sending an email to both the classroom teacher and leescorneresattendance@fcps.edu. Please include your child's first and last name, teacher's name, and the reason for the absence/tardy/early dismissal. If your child will be going home early, please do your best to inform us before your child goes to lunch. We need time to fill out a change form and get it to the teacher. Teachers check their mailboxes at lunch time. Please try to avoid calling the school at the end of the day to inform us and your child about a change in your child's dismissal routine as this makes communication difficult.
Children should be kept home when they have a fever of 100.4 or higher, vomiting, diarrhea, or a skin condition or rash that has not been diagnosed. Students should not return to school until they have been symptom and fever free for 24 hours without the use of medication.
A BBQ lunch sponsored by Food and Nutrition Services is scheduled for Monday, September 10th. Parents are invited to join us for this event. The cost is $4.50 for parents and $3.25 for students.

talk with your children about what interests them and sign them up. We

Each year, Lees Corner Elementary
School earns thousands of dollars from the purchases our families make at
grocery and retail stores. Last year we made $6,175! There
are three effortless ways to earn money for Lees Corner: 1) grocery

On Wednesday, September 19th, students will be released 3 hours early, at 12:35 p.m. There will be four additional 3 hour early dismissal days this school year. These days are planned to provide time for staff development.
Please make transportation and child care plans now for September 19th.
The lunch schedule on the early dismissal days will be modified to allow all students to have lunch.
