Principal Paws
Dear Fairhill Tigers,
What an amazing start to school we've had! We would like to thank our community business partner, Fairfax County Fire Department Station 30, for coming to greet all of our tigers on their first day of school. It made for an awesome start to the day. We look forward to continuing this partnership throughout the year.
Walking around the building, students are already immensely engaged in classroom learning and are continuing to build their classroom communities.
We have a few community events coming up that we would love you to join us for including our first Principals Coffee on September 6 and our first PTA meeting to be held on September 13 (see below for more information on both events).
We look forward to another outstanding year for our entire community.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Hunstad and Mrs. Korb

Business Partnerships
Is your company/business interested in partnering with Fairhill? We are looking for companies who would help support the work of our school community. Our partners do more than give us sponsorship – they take “ownership” of our school community by working in tandem with our students and staff to accomplish the vision and goals of Fairhill. These partnerships show our students that their community cares about education and the presence and support of our partners is shown throughout in many different ways. Companies can donate their time or their money. We are willing to explore all options. Please send an email to your administrative team at cjhunstad@fcps.edu and cbkorb@fcp.edu for more information.

FCPS Opt-Out Forms
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) wants all parents to understand its policies and gives parents the chance to opt-out of certain events.
In its Annual Notice of Survey, Records, Curriculum, Privacy, and Related Rights and Opt-Out Forms (Annual Notice), FCPS provides explanations of the rights listed above as well as forms that may be used to exercise opt-out choices. Two versions of the Annual Notice are available—a grades K-8 version and a grades 9-12 version.
Opt-Out Booklets
Parents may also request a paper copy from the principal’s office at their child’s school. If you wish to opt your child out of any of the activities mentioned above, you must complete and return the appropriate forms to the Fairhill office. The forms can be found here.
