Welcome back! I am very excited to kick off the 2018-19 school year and hope you are, too! For the first time in over 20 years, FCPS is starting with a fully-funded school budget—one that prioritizes compensating our employees. We will continue to focus on investing in our staff and supporting our students, so that every child is prepared for success in school—and in life. Please watch this short back-to-school message for more about what’s in store. Have a joyful school year!

Online Free and Reduced-Price Application Information
Free and reduced-price meal applications may
be completed online or by submitting a handwritten, paper application
for the 2018-2019 school year. Electronic meal applications are quick,
easy, and available in the following languages: English,
Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Filipino, French, and Vietnamese.
Both the
online application and paper application now include a designated section with
the consent to share information for other programs. This update allows
parents/guardians to complete the free and reduced-price meal application and
the consent to share information in the same document.
Paper
applications must be the
original red print forms, which are available at school offices, school
cafeterias, and other FCPS buildings. Copied application forms cannot be
accepted.
For more
information visit the Free and Reduced-Price Meals webpage.

Kiss and Ride Reminders
Your child’s safety is our number one concern. Please assist us with keeping all the children safe by following these guidelines:
The school has a designated drop-off and pick-up area identified by Kiss and Ride signs. This is the only area where students are allowed to be dropped off during bus hours. Students are to be dropped off and picked up at the curb. An adult will be there at arrival and departure times. Students may not walk across the parking lot even with an adult. We ask that you use this drop off area and that you not park and walk your child.
Kiss and Ride Guidelines-
- FOLLOW the directions of the teacher on duty.
- PULL UP to orange cone, unload/load 3-4 cars at a time, and drive off slowly. Students should be secured with a seat belt in the car before the driver pulls away.
- STAY IN YOUR CAR - do not leave your car unattended in the Kiss and Ride area.
- STAY IN LINE- do not pull out and around other cars, wait your turn.
- PICK UP your child at the Pickup Area only. Children will not be allowed to cross parking lot to get in cars.
