HOSA Students Win Big This Summer

HOSA student winners

This summer was an exciting one for three students from Falls Church Academy's Medical Assistant class.  These students and their teacher headed to the 2018 HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) International Leadership Conference in Dallas, TX, June 27-30.  Each of the three competed in their specialty area earlier in the academic year and placed in the top slots at the District and State competitions.  At the International Conference they showed HOSA International what Falls Church Academy students are made of.  Puja Punukollu (Woodson HS) competed in Job Seeking Skills and earned a 1st place win, Kelly Tran (Falls Church HS) competed in the Extemporaneous Poster event and earned a 3rd Place win.  Cynthia Huynh (Falls Church HS) competed in Medical Photography and did an outstanding job among the many students who entered.  In all, 6,906 competitors from all over the US and Canada and 180 representatives were from Virginia.  Great Job Falls Church Academy!
