Getting Ready for the 2018-2019 School Year!
Dear Hollin Meadows Families,
I hope this note finds you in the midst of
enjoying the final days of a wonderful summer break! Although it seems like
only a short time ago that the 2017-18 school year ended and buses packed with
cheering kids were seen off by equally exuberant staff, the calendar says otherwise
and the new school year is right around the corner. I can report that planning
and preparations for the new year are nearly complete. New staff members have
been hired and our renovation project has made significant progress. The only
thing missing are the students!
The 2018 - 2019 school year will begin on
Tuesday, August 28. School hours this year are 8:25 a.m. – 3:10 p.m. Monday -
Friday. Class lists will be posted at the school entrance by 4 pm. on
Thursday, August 23.
Our office hours are from 7:30 am. to 4 pm.
Monday through Friday. If we can be of any assistance please don’t hesitate to
come by or call us at 703-718-8300.
I am looking forward to the new school year and
continuing to collaborate with students, staff members, families, and community
members in our work to create a school of Excellence through Equity. Enjoy the
remainder of your summer break. See you soon!
Sincerely,
Jon M. Gates
Principal
