Good Morning Forestville Families,
We hope you are enjoying the last few days of summer. We are
looking forward to your return very soon.
We wanted to update you on a few items of note.
We are happy to announce that our 3rd grade team
will be made up of Mr. LeLoup, Mr. Mills, Ms. Schwendeman and our newest
addition to Forestville Ms. Maria Diaz!
We are excited to welcome Ms. Diaz from Loudoun County and she is very
excited to be working with our 3rd grade team and becoming part of
the Forestville family.
In first grade, we are welcoming Ms. Emily Pearson to the
team to join Ms. DeMoss (Pappas), Ms. Paull, and Ms. Vollmecke. Ms. Pearson taught 3rd grade last
year. Finally, we are excited to
announce that Mr. Adriel Ignacio will be joining our 4th grade team
with Ms. Crotty and Ms. Zuerner. Mr.
Ignacio has been a part of Forestville for many years and he is excited to embark
on this new journey in his new role!
With these new changes, we are continuing to work diligently
on our classroom assignments and hope to have those out this week. As always, we will continue to rotate our
teachers, by content, in grades 4-6 as we have done, successfully, for many
years.
Dates to keep in mind for your calendar:
- Open House on Thursday, August 23rd: New families can join Mr. Franklin and Mrs.
Arbach in the cafeteria at 9:30. The
official start to Open House for ALL families will begin at 10:00. This is where students and parents can come
and visit with your teacher and see your classrooms.
- First day of School is Tuesday, August 28th
- Back to School Night for grades K-3 will be on
Wednesday, August 29th beginning at 6:00
- Back to School Night for grades 4-6 will be on
Thursday, August 30th beginning at 6:00
