Meet our New Assistant Principals
I am very excited to welcome two new Assistant Principals to the Oakton team. Ms. Mary Landis is joining us from Langley High School. During her time at Langley, Ms. Landis served in many roles including: Assistant Principal, Science Department Chair, and Special Education Teacher. Ms. Landis will be supervising the Special Education (Category B), English, and the Library.
Mr. James Oberndorf has served FCPS as the Instructional Coach Coordinator and prior to that served as an Assistant Principal at Mount Vernon High School. Mr. Oberndorf was also the instructional coach and a history teacher during his time spent at Frost Middle School. Mr. Oberndorf will be supervising Special Education (Category A), World Languages, and the AVID program.
Ms. Landis and Mr. Oberndorf are replacing Ms. Michelle Taylor and Mr. Dale Eaton. Ms. Taylor was provided with a great opportunity to transfer to Madison High School and Mr. Eaton was serving as an interim for a growth position due to our increasing enrollment. We are incredibly thankful for Ms. Taylor and Mr. Eaton and all they did during their time at Oakton High School.
A full list of the administrative team and what each administrator will be supervising can be found in the welcome back information interactive document.
