Renovation Update
This week the construction crews will start a project in the parking lot. This will prohibit any traffic near Cougar Towne (trailers). Should you need to access Student Services during this time, please enter Door 4 and report to the Main Office. We anticipate this project should be completed in about 2-3 weeks. Thank you.
Summer Information
Senior Pictures
Due to renovation, senior pictures scheduled for this week have been relocated to Madison High School.
Parking
Information about student parking should be coming out in early August. We do not know yet exactly how many spots we will have for students (due to the renovation). We can tell you it will be a lottery system and all spots will be reserved for seniors only.
Locker Information
Rising
freshmen and sophomores will automatically be assigned lockers for next year.
Rising juniors and seniors who wish to have a locker for the upcoming school
year need to fill out this google form. It will require you to be
logged into your school google account (@fcpsschools.net)!
Summer Office Hours
The main office will be open during the summer from 8am-1pm. The new Main Entrance can be found at Door 4. Please follow the new signage to get to the office.
AP Summer Assignments Posted

Summer Reading Assignments

AP Scores Access
2018 AP Scores will be available online at
https://apscore.collegeboard.org/scores# on Sunday, July 8th at 8:00am.
You will need to create a College Board account to view your scores and your 2018 AP number or Student ID number (if you provided it on
your answer sheet) to see your scores. If you don’t have your 2018 AP number or
did not provide your Student ID number on your answer sheet, you can call AP
Services at 888-225-5427 or 212-632-1780 to access your scores.
Are You Moving This Summer?
If your son/daughter will not be returning to Oakton High School
next year, please let us know by completing an Intention Form. These
forms can be picked up and returned to Student Services. By doing so, we can be
prepared to get academic records to the right school for you and we can better
plan for school here for next year. Thanks!
Upcoming Events
Fall Sports Tryouts
Fall
Sports tryouts begin the week of July 30th! Tryout information
is posted on www.oaktonathletics.org
under the Announcements tab. Information includes tryout times, forms
required, and coaches’ contact information. Fall sports include
cheerleading, cross country, field hockey, football, golf, and
volleyball. Please feel free to contact to coaches directly with any
questions or the Activities Office at (703) 319-2760.
Freshmen and New Student Orientation.
Save the date! Thursday August 23, 12:00-3:45pm we will welcome all 9th grade and new students to Oakton High School.
You will have an opportunity to get your course schedule, meet
your teachers, learn about our bell schedule, meet your counselor, and so much

Cougar Kick-Off on Thursday August 23, 3:00-5:30pm! The Oakton Leadership program will be hosting this event as a
celebration to start the new school year with school spirit!
