A huge congratulations from the Longfellow PTA to Principal
Kihm, all the teachers, and the entire staff for being one of 14 schools in all
of Virginia selected for the 2018 Governor's Award for Educational Excellence.
Longfellow has won this award for 10 of the last 11 years. What does it take to
win this prestigious award? It
starts with a commitment meet each student's individual needs as a
learner while meeting the educational metrics set forth by the Virginia Department of
Education. It ends with having our children

The PTA is proud to support Principal Kihm and her entire
staff in this achievement. THANK YOU to all the parents who generously
supported the PTA this year. As a result of your generosity, we were able to
provide the school with over $50,000 to support the drive for excellence. Your
money went toward the purchase of laptops and a laptop charging cart, teacher
supplies, instructional materials, educational grants, and so much more.
We look forward to the new school year and continuing our
