Dear Mason Crest Community,
We hope everyone is enjoying their vacations and finding ways to stay cool during this hot summer!
We wanted to take a moment to announce the newest member of
our administrative team, Larry Aiello. Larry brings a wealth of knowledge
and experiences to the Mason Crest community. Larry is beginning the 20th
year of his career in education, all of which has been with Fairfax County
Public Schools. After 13 years as a middle school teacher and assistant
principal, Larry took the opportunity to become an elementary school assistant
principal in 2012 and fell in love with working with younger students.
Most recently, Larry is transferring from Westlawn Elementary School where he
has helped them to stay committed to their focus on the whole child,
collaboration, and the individual growth of students and
staff.
Larry is married to Bianca Aiello, the Director of Student
Services at Poe Middle School, who has raved about the Mason Crest community
and students. They have a dog, Ann Arbor, named after Larry’s passion for
Michigan football. In addition to being a big sports fan, he is also an
avid reader, and enjoys eating out with his wife. We are excited to learn
from and with Larry as he brings many insights from his work with other school
communities and a deep knowledge of best practices in education.
