 6th Grade Promotion Ceremony
Dear Willow Springs Families,
What an amazing
year we have had! This week we have taken a lot of time to celebrate and
reflect the amazing growth that we have made this year. We hope that your
children's thirst for learning continues to grow this summer, as they explore
and experience new things. Also, and most importantly, have fun! Get outside and play, make friends, and create
memories. Encourage your kids to
be excited about life and have an opportunity to do the things they love.
We hope you and
your family will take advantage of our 2018 WSES Summer Reading Challenge. We
want to hear everyone say, "Bingo" when they return to school this
August.
Congratulations
to our rising 7th graders. You have a lot to be proud of. We will miss you!
You can anticipate several summer
updates from us, so stay tuned in! As a
favor to us, as new families move into the neighborhood, please encourage them
to go register for school immediately. It is very helpful to our planning and hiring to have this information
as soon as possible.
We look forward
to sending the kids off with a huge farewell (2 hours early) and wish them a
safe and happy summer.

Willow Springs Summer Reading Bingo Board
 How does it work? Complete at least five of the activities from our Summer Reading Bingo card, then complete the google form to select which activities were chosen. Each book may only count for one entry, but students choose which books to read.
Please complete the google form on our school website by August 21, 2018 or print the bingo card and turn it in to Mrs. Hurley, our librarian, next school year. Questions? E-mail achurley@fcps.edu. All participants who turn in their summer reading form by the deadline will be entered
into a raffle to attend a library party and one lucky raffle winner will also
receive a Barnes and Noble gift card.

Get a head start on the 2018-19 school year by purchasing your child's school
supply kit! Kits will be delivered to the school prior
to our Open House in August and will be waiting for your child in his/her

Library Book Returns Past Due
Does your child still have a library book out? Students received overdue notices Thursday, June 8th and teachers forwarded digital copies to parents. If your child has a library book out, please return the book as soon as possible or contact Mrs. Hurley achurley@fcps.edu, our librarian.

End-of-Year Medication Disposal Guidelines
Per Regulation 2102, all medication stored in the health room must
be picked up no later than 1:00 p.m. on the last day of school, June 15,
2018. Medication left in the health room after that time will be
discarded. It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the
parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your student.

Kindergarten Registration is Open
Children who reach the age of five on or before September 30, 2018 are eligible to attend Kindergarten for the 2018-19 school year. Please go the Willow Springs website for registration information and to sign up for an appointment.
