Please come to the last PTA meeting of the year!  It will be on Monday, June 11th at 7 pm in the library.  We will be voting in the new board and voting on some additional spending this year.  Also two teachers will be presenting some cool new technology that may be coming into more classrooms.

Field Day Reminders

Field day for grades 1-6 is June 13th! Please have your child bring the following in a bag on field day:

Water bottle labeled with your child’s name

Change of clothes and shoes (they will get wet)

         Towel

Please apply sunscreen before school. If you choose to send sunscreen to school, children must be able to apply it themselves. Athletic shoes must be worn to participate in field day.  NO crocs, flip flops, or sandals. Children should wear comfortable clothing and are not permitted to wear bathing suits.

School Pak Orders

The PTA is offering parents the convenient services of School Pak for pre-packaged supply kits. This service ensures your child/children have the school supplies they need next year without having to run to five different stores to find them. Pre-packaged supplies are not a fundraiser for the PTA.

Each kit contains exactly what is on your child’s supply list plus a bonus item or two. In addition, the entire package comes in a personalized kit, with your child’s name labeled on the reusable storage box.

Supplies can be ordered using the link below

Lees Corner Elementary | School-Pak

Orders placed online by June 8, 2017 will be sent directly to Lees Corner. Orders can still be placed online until July 12, 2017 but will include a delivery fee and be sent to your home address. If you DO NOT receive an email confirmation from School Pak, you order HAS NOT been placed.

If school supplies are ordered by June 8th and shipped to the school they will be delivered directly to your students’ classroom.  There will be no parent pick-up at the school!

If you have any questions, please contact Gulzar Motani at gulzarnm@yahoo.com

Odyssey of the Mind - Parent Interest Meeting

Please join other interested Lees Corner families to discuss forming a Lees Corner Odyssey of the Mind team or teams for the 2018-19 school year.  We will meet Thursday, June 14th at 7p.m. in the Lees Corner cafeteria.

About Those Recorders...

3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Parents – Hang on to those recorders!

As we finish up the year we are sending home recorders with students.  They are welcome to practice playing their instrument over the summer and even work on belts for recorder karate (found on Google Classroom).  These recorders should be cleaned, either in soapy water or the top shelf of the dishwasher, and stored in a safe place to bring back to Lees Corner in the fall.

Password Management Services

Parents, students and FCPS employees are eligible to recover or change their password for applications such as FCPS 24-7 Learning (Blackboard), Student Information System - SIS Parent Account, Google Apps, and the FCPS Network should the need arise.  With summer almost here, please review your options on the Password Management page of the FCPS website.
