Fox Mill is fortunate to have such supportive families and a wonderful community. Here is a special message from our PTA:
Thank you to the Fox
Mill families who generously donated to Teacher Appreciation Week this year.
The effort raised $3,500 which enabled our Teacher Appreciation Week Committee,
led by Margie McCoy to provide an absolutely fabulous week for all of our dedicated
teachers and staff. The week kicked off with a waffle breakfast bar, complete
with toppings, coffee, and yogurt parfaits. Mason Jars containing ‘School
Survival Items’ were distributed to the entire staff, comprised of a Starbucks
gift card and other small items to help our teachers finish the year strong.
The teachers lounge was outfitted with a variety of snacks, including
individual packs of popcorn, breakfast bars, mini muffins, and other treats.
Large appreciation messages were posted at the entrance of the school on two
different days and posters were signed by students at each grade level and were
hung in the hallways as a warm reminder to teachers, office staff, cafeteria
workers and custodians of the students’ gratitude. On Thursday, the teachers
and staff enjoyed a hamburger slider lunch catered by Glory Days that included,
salad, assorted fruit, mac & cheese and drinks. A collection of gift
baskets were also created and each teacher/staff member was given a chance to
win either an individual gift basket or a team gift. The 29 individual gift
baskets consisted of items such as gift cards, movie tickets, treats and summer
related items. The 3 team gifts consisted of lunch, Starbucks coffee, or
smoothies for up to 8 people.
In addition, we want to recognize two community members who donated their time
and expertise to make this week extra special. Tara Nichols provided 10 minute
massages over the course of 3 days to help our hard working teachers and
staff relax. Jess Peristere from Organized by Jess donated a gift certificate
of two hours of organizing from her business.
We also want to give a special thank you to all of the committee members and
volunteers who helped make this week possible: Sarah Kingdon, Kathleen Wang,
Jess Kennedy, Marian Hickes, Andy Birch, Thavy Lynch, Laura Lee, Sandy Rim,
Trish Atkins, Alina Goldman, Hyunah Gray, Noelle Mullins, Michelle Siraj,
Rachel Flannery and Tammy Adams.
We truly love our teachers and staff at Fox Mill and are so grateful we had the
opportunity to show them how much we treasure them in such a big way.
