The Positivity Project Strength: Other People Matter Mindset
The Other People Matter Mindset is the foundation of all the Positivity Project strengths we explored this year.  This mindset can be summed up in the following: identifying and appreciating the good in others; knowing that one’s words and actions affect others; cheering the successes of others; being present and giving others one’s attention; and supporting others when they struggle.

Parent Input Form for Class Placements due on Friday, May 18
The Parent Input forms are due by close of business this Friday, May 18.  This is the form on which we ask you to provide us with your insights regarding your child’s learning needs, as well as peer considerations, to aid in the class placement process for the next school year.  Please find it at https://wakefieldforestes.fcps.edu/event/parent-input-class-placement

Lost and Found
We have a record number of winter coats, sweatshirts, sweaters, and water bottles in our Lost and Found and will be giving all items to charity at the end of the school year in June.  If you think your child’s missing items might be in our Lost and Found, please come and look for them any time between 8 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. FCPS has created a number of resources for parents and students that can be found at Mental Health Awareness Month.  Please work with your school teams to develop a plan for sharing information and resources with your students and families along with other wellness activities occurring in your schools. Also, please include the following message to inform parents of the school-based mental health services that are available to all students in FCPS.
