Thank you to everyone for all of the treats, kind words and special treatment for our teachers this week. It has been a wonderful Teacher Appreciation Week and our teachers are some of the luckiest teachers in Fairfax County. Thank you to the PTA and all the parents and students for making the staff at Deer Park feel so honored and special.

for placement of students in the fall was sent home last week. Completed forms will be shared
with your child’s new teacher as an introduction to them about the hopes and
goals you have for your child. We also use this information as we place
student trying our best to match students with the best possible teacher for
the new school year. Please return to the Deer Park Office by May 18th.

FAIRFAX COUNTY IS HIRING SCHOOL HEALTH AIDES
Apply online through May 12, 2018 at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/topics/job. As a school health aide, you have the benefit of working the school's schedule! Enjoy school holidays and summers off with your children. Training is provided.
TDAP REMINDER FOR RISING 6TH GRADERS
All students in Virginia must receive a booster dose of Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis, (TDAP) prior to entering 6th grade. Please make sure your child receives this immunization and provides documentation to the front office by June 15th.
RUN FOR REMEMBRANCE
The Westfield HS Student Government Association has scheduled The Run to Remember in honor of Conor Bouveron (a former DP student) and Mike Greiner (a former Westfield teacher) on Sunday, May 20. Both passed away due to heart related conditions. There will be a 1K and a 5K race at Westfield.
