May 28th is Memorial Day.
Enjoy free Memorial Day family activities in Fairfax and Washington D.C.
ViVa! Vienna! is a three-day family- and community-oriented
festival celebrating Memorial Day in Vienna, VA. Vienna’s historic Freeman
House, Old Vienna Railroad Station and Church Street provide the backdrop for
this celebration that features more than 300 vendors and local artisans,
amusement rides, food prepared by local restaurants. A full slate of
entertainment is on tap all three days with performances geared toward both
children and adults. Entertainers include musical groups, dance troupes,
magicians and the like.

The annual event features big band, swing, and
contemporary jazz music. Picnics are allowed and food and beverages will also
be for sale. In case of inclement weather, the festival will be relocated to
the Lee Center's Kauffman Auditorium, 1108 Jefferson St. Admission is free.

The Memorial Day Parade and Festival on May 28 will
bring more than 10,000 visitors to City Hall grounds to enjoy the Don Beyer Fun
Run, Veterans Ceremony, children's activities, food, civic, and retail vendors,
the parade, and more.

will grace the stage for one of PBS' highest-rated programs. This
multi-award-winning television event has become an American tradition, honoring
the military service and sacrifice of all our men and women in uniform, their
families at home and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our
country.
