Parents/Students/Staff,
I wanted to make you aware of some
changes we have made to the bell schedule starting next school year
(2018-2019). Centreville High School has one of the largest populations that
attends several of Fairfax County’s academies. Centreville was just a handful
of schools in which our bell schedule did not match the FCPS academy bell
schedules. This led to some difficulty or choices students would need to
make in order to attend the academy. Additionally, our students are
currently eating lunch well into the afternoon.
In consultation with our main
feeder academy and surrounding schools, Centreville will adjust the bell schedule
next year to align our bell schedules. See below the new schedule for
your information. The biggest change you will notice is that our embedded
period (period that meets every day) has moved from 7th period to 3rd
period. In addition, our lunches will start a little earlier for
students. School beginning and ending times will remain the same.
Finally, this is just a reminder
that the first day of school next year is Tuesday, August 28th.
