Join us for Reading Under the
Stars!
Thursday, May 10 from 7
- 8 pm in the Cafeteria
All Daniels Run families are
invited to bring a towel or blanket, a flashlight, and something to read for a
read-in! You can read a book, magazine, or newspaper. Join in the fun of a
pretend camp out and read silently, aloud with a buddy, or as a group. A snack
of popcorn and water will be provided. A flyer was sent home on Thursday,
April 26 with information for families. Please return the form if you can come!

No Sale Yard Sale – April 27 and 28
Shop our spring “sale” in the cafeteria on Friday from
3:30pm-7pm or Saturday from 9am-1pm (during the PTA BOGO book fair).
The No Sale Yard Sale is where the goods are not sold,
but given to community members in exchange for a monetary donation.
Proceeds benefit the Daniels Run Food 4 thought Program. Thank you
for your support.
Rec Pac Registration
Information about the Rec Pac summer program through Fairfax
County is now available. Come to the Family Resource Center for
registration assistance beginning April 24. We are available to assist
you on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Stop by, or call to make an

It’s HERE! Scholastic’s Buy One-Get One Free (BOGO) Book Fair!
Join us this Saturday, April 28 from 9:30am-12:00pm for our fun, family event. Browse the books while you enjoy a bagel. Check with your student’s teacher when their class shops, between Monday, April 30 and Wednesday, May 2.
It’s Coming! Teacher Appreciation Week is Coming, May 7-11
Lights! Camera! Appreciation! We look forward to celebrating our teachers and
staff. A schedule and details are in the Oldest and Only Thursday’s folder. Additional Sheets for the teacher “Fan Mail” and reminders will go home next week. Visit our PTA website for electronic copies, www.danielsrunpta.org
But Wait!.... We need a Crew of Helping Hands, Visit https://bit.ly/2Hc4tKz to donate time and items. Don’t forget, we are also collecting $5-$10 gift card(Target, Dunkin Donuts, Amazon, etc.) for the daily drawings on the morning news. Bring in a marked “TAW” envelope to the main office by May 1.
