All County Chorus

On Saturday, April 28th, twelve 6th grade students along with music teachers, Kelly Harbison and Gina Biver attended All County Chorus.  Kelly is the current President of the Fairfax County Music Educators’ Association and gave the opening welcome address before the Sixth Graders sang their music selections. A fabulous performance was enjoyed by all in attendance. 


Book Fair

 Spring Book Fair Starts Wednesday

The Spring Buy One, Get One Free (BOGO) book fair starts tomorrow! Students are welcome to come in and shop from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.

        The next SCA spirit day will be on May 4- Rainbow day.

        Each grade level will wear their designated color.

          K- Red

          1st- Orange

          2nd-Yellow

          3rd-Green

          4th-Blue

          5th-Indigo/Purple

          6th-Tie Dye

          Students in all grades enjoyed an indoor picnic last Thursday. 

          Carnvial

          Woodson 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, May 5th

          The 9th Annual Woodson 5K presented by Woodson SGA will take place on Saturday, May 5th at 8:30 a.m. (Fun run for Little Cavs is at 8:00 a.m.). The proceeds from this year’s 5K benefit "A Forever Home," a no-kill animal shelter in Fairfax. Join the Woodson community by walking or running in this chip-timed event.           Carnival of Fun Teaches Probability

          Ms. DellaVedova’s 6th grade classroom had a “Carnival of Fun” learning about Probability.  They were exposed to both Theoretical and Experimental Probability and by the end of the unit, were able to find each kind of probability and tell the difference between them.  They applied what they learned by creating Probability based games for an in class Carnival, which they shared with the Kindergarteners.
