Celebrating Volunteer Appreciation Week! Thank you so much to our many volunteers for all of your support!
 College Day
Mark
your calendars: the Chantilly Pyramid 7th Annual College Day will be on Friday,
April 27th! As we have done for the past 6 years, all Brookfield staff will
be wearing college gear representing their alma mater and we invite students to
join in with their favorite college wear too. Throughout the day, teachers and
staff will talk about some of their experiences in choosing a school and
highlights from their college years. We will also have Chantilly seniors, some
of whom have attended Brookfield, coming back to speak with 6th graders at the
end of the day.

Our first grade hall displays our focus on a growth mindset and Portrait of a Graduate skills.
Chantilly Pyramid Launching Mental Health Google Site
Mental health has been a “hot button” topic in our
country over the past few months. School counselors are excited to share
a new mental health resource site for our Chantilly community. As
elementary, middle, and high school counselors continue to work with families
in each school, we felt it necessary to share similar information and resources
with everyone in grades K through 12. The Chantilly Pyramid’s
comprehensive Google site link can be found here https://sites.google.com/view/chantillycounselorsresources/home.
Feel free to access the site on your own. If you have specific questions
or needs, contact your child’s school counselor directly.

March/April Health Promotion Message: Power Up a Healthy Plate!
COLORFUL CHOICES MAKE A HEALTHY PLATE
Did you know that eating a variety of healthy foods, such as fruits and vegetables give students the energy they need for learning? By choosing the right foods, students will not only perform better in school, but will feel better too! A balanced diet provides many health benefits—vegetables provide fiber to help stay full throughout the school day, whole grains give energy, and fruits add flavor and can boost immunity.
March and April’s Health Promotion message is: Power Up a Healthy Plate!

 FCPSOn and SOL Testing
Brookfield Community,
SOL season is quickly approaching and with being
an FCPSOn school all students this year will be testing on the FCPSOn student
laptops. Here are a few things that students and parents need to do an be
aware of prior to testing to make sure that testing season continues to be a
success :
- While in school, students should restart each Wednesday
and shutdown each Friday before leaving school. This will ensure
that computers don’t go into update mode during SOL testing.
- Bring your charger each day to school, especially
during SOL testing. Computers used for SOL testing must be plugged
in per VDOE regulations.
- If your computer needs to be fixed, please tell your
teacher as soon as possible to ensure it gets returned in time for SOL
testing.
- Make sure the student’s name is on the FCPSOn computer,
charger, and bag in case it gets misplaced.
- Finally, when not in use, computers should be shut down
each day and over extended breaks to maintain battery life and prevent
overheating.
If you have any questions or concerns, please
feel call the front office.
