RISING
KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION
Greenbriar East’s Kindergarten Orientation is just around the
corner! Join us for an Open House on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 2:00 -
3:00 p.m. for rising kindergartners and parents/guardians. There
will be a meet and greet with our administrators and kindergarten teachers,
a school tour, a kindergarten classroom visit, and a school bus tour.
We look forward to seeing you!
Children who will reach the age of five on or before September 30,
2018, are eligible to attend kindergarten.
If you have a rising kindergarten student, please contact the
Greenbriar East office at: 703-633-6400. We will be mailing
out registration packets in March.

Exploring the Effects of the Online World on our Kids
At Rocky Run we have been working to develop a pyramid wide program to help parents learn about and access a multitude of resources to guide and set boundaries for their children on social media. Exploring the Effects of the Online World on our Kids will be offered at Rocky Run Middle School on April 26 at 7:00 p.m.. The program will begin in the Little Theater, and offer breakout sessions.

FAMILY FUN RUN/WALK
The 14th annual GBE Family Fun Run/Walk is Saturday, May 5
at 7:45 am. Be sure to get your entry in early and take advantage of
receiving a discount and guaranteed event t-shirt! Early registration fee
is $12/person, not to exceed $45/family. Fun Run early entry forms
available in front entrance media center or download/print a form today from

Debate Club at GBE

This club introduces
students to parliamentary debate. Debate topics are both challenging and
directly relevant to students. The rule structure begins less rigid than
standard parliamentary debate rules before the students move into formal
debates. Group exercises develop public speaking, critical reasoning, argument
construction, rebuttal, and evidence presentation skills. Students with any
level of debate experience are welcome to join.
On Thursdays, April
19th to June 7th from 4:05 pm-5:20 pm.
Students in Grades 3-6
may participate.
Cost is $145 for eight
75 minute classes.
