the 10th Anniversary of our annual school Art Gala. This year’s
theme is “Candyland” and the event will take place on Monday, April 30th
from 6-8pm in the cafeteria for the entire school community to enjoy.

Dear Silverbrook Families,
We are pleased to announce Silverbrook’s 10th Annual Art Gala: Candyland. The
Gala will take place on the evening of Monday, April 30, 2018 from 6-8pm in the
cafeteria. This is a free event that will feature artwork from each class and will have
art activities and refreshments to enjoy.
Due to the large number of children that attend our school, six students’ artwork will
be chosen to represent each class. Artwork will be voted on anonymously by peers
who have completed a similar project and are aware of the expectations of what
went into the project.
We would like to invite your family and friends to attend our Art Gala. We are
looking forward to a fun filled art evening. If you are unable to attend, most of the
artwork will also be on display in the front lobby and in the cafeteria on the Friday
before and the following Tuesday.
If your child’s artwork is selected to be in the Art Gala, he/she will receive a letter to
notify him/her within the next 7-10 days. Even if your child’s artwork is not selected,
we encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the Gala. The event is always a huge
success!
Large events such as this do take a lot of preparation and planning. If you would be
willing to share some of your time with us, we would greatly appreciate your help in
planning for the evening or preparing artwork with us! Please reference the link to
