Purple

Military Month of the Child

April is Month of the Military Child and the Military Spouses Group of Sangster is coordinating with the school by celebrating Purple Up Day on Friday, April 13th.  Purple Up Day is a time for Americans to show respect for military families. The color purple symbolizes all branches of the military.  It is a combination of Army green, Marine red, and Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard blue. All students and staff are encouraged to wear purple on Friday, April 13th. The Military Spouses Group will also be providing purple stickers for all students and staff to wear that Friday.

Important Reminder for Rising 6th Graders

If you have a current 5th grade student, your child may need a booster dose of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis). Sixth grade students cannot begin school in August without documentation of the Tdap booster.  Documentation must be provided to the school registrar as soon as possible.

Parents of Rising 7th Graders

In August, Lake Braddock will be hosting a one-day JumpStart program aimed at helping your rising 7th grader become more familiar with Lake Braddock Secondary School. Sessions will be offered during the week of Monday, August 13th through Thursday, August 16th.  This program fills up quickly.
