I hope you enjoyed spring break! I know it looks different from family to family, but time with our children is always time well spent. I enjoyed some additional time with my son Sebastian. They grow up so fast...make every moment count! Here are some recent photos of Sebastian. One way I see how fast he grows is to keep an eye on how quickly his pant legs get too short! Time to go shopping...again!
April has some important upcoming events - the book fair (see below), Variety Show (April 11th), International Day (April 13th), Kindergarten Orientation (April 16th), AAP Orientation (April 26th), and the FHES vs. Westgate volleyball game (April 20th). Now let's hope April also has some nicer weather for us as well!
We look forward to greeting our students on Tuesday, April 3rd. We will start that day like every other day - fostering our classroom community in our Morning Meeting. Monday, April 2nd, is a teacher workday.
All my best,
Scott

Vienna ES
Boundary Study / Possible Impact on FHES: Due to the
enrollment increase at Vienna ES, a boundary study will take place to determine
how to best meet the needs of that community. A boundary adjustment
could result in students being reassigned to attend FHES. Currently,
our enrollment is the lowest it has been in many years. More details
to come, but please know continuing to keep our students in the main
building is a priority. For additional details and meeting dates for
the public, see these links -https://www.fcps.edu/sites/default/files/media/pdf/Proposed%20FY%202019-23%20CIP_0.pdf
