CES Family Bulletin #27

Dear CES Families,

We had a great week of blended learning, exercise, outdoor learning, field trips, small group learning, and math fun! It is so exciting to see the engagement, energy, and smiles when learning with our students. That is what makes our jobs so special!

We have recently changed our check-in procedures for guests. All visitors will need to enter door 1 and report directly to the office. Visitors must have a valid driver license/I.D. with them and will need to use it to register at the visitor check-in station. We will no longer be using the small visitor stickers. We appreciate your support with this change and understand that this new system is a little more time consuming. However, our number one concern is student safety and school security. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Douds.

Next week we have several evening events. This is a wonderful time for you and your children to engage in fun activities with the CES staff. Our goal is to strengthen the relationships with our students and families, while participating is programs/activities that benefit CES.

This week we focused on ZEST/ENTHUSIASM through the Positivity Project. Zest/Enthusiasm is the ability to bring life and excitement to different situations. It often leads to a higher level of involvement and engagement both for individuals and for groups. Those who demonstrate zest and enthusiasm bring an energy and level of intensity to individual and group work. These people are often identified as early leaders and innovators as a result of their outward excitement about a task or project. Look for these people to recruit new group members and generate ideas.
