Spring Break

Spring break begins on Monday, March 26 for students and teachers.  Students return to school on Tuesday, April 3.  The Woodburn office will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. from Monday, March 26 to Thursday, March 29.  The office will be closed on Friday, March 30, and will be back to normal hours beginning Monday, April 2.

New Kiss and Ride Procedures

We have made a few changes to the afternoon Kiss and Ride procedures that will ensure a safer dismissal experience for our students.

 The changes are:

  • Your car and child will be identified with a Kiss and Ride number
  • Your child will now be waiting in the cafeteria with staff supervision.
  •  As you arrive in the carpool line, we will call your number to the cafeteria and your child will come out to be safely loaded in your car

These small changes will minimize your child’s exposure to the weather and will keep all of the children in a safe location.

Please display your Kiss and Ride number in the passenger’s side windshield at each afternoon Kiss and Ride pick-up. Attach the small number card to your child’s backpack in an easily visible location.

These practices were fully implemented on Tuesday, February 20th.  Thank you for your support and let the office know if you have any questions.

Student Illnesses

It is very important for students to attend school daily.  However, it is difficult for students to learn when they are really sick.  If your child has a fever or flu-like symptoms, he or she should remain home.  Please consult a doctor and consider the health of your child (ren) and others as you determine whether or not you should send your child to school.
