April is Month of the Military Child

As  Ft. Belvoir Upper is a new school, we are working on making our school more inviting. What better way to add the love of our soldiers and families than to have your pictures on the walls of our school? In honor of Month of the Military Child, please join us on April 4th from 12pm-1:30 pm at Ft. Belvoir Upper School to have your photo taken with your child/children.

The photos taken will be framed and displayed around our school as a constant reminder of the hard work and dedication of our military families. It is our hope that students will see this as an opportunity to support and show pride of the patriotic dedication of their parents.

  We are looking to photograph only 15 families. The only thing we ask is that you are in uniform for these photos.If you are available please RSPV via email by March 16th to LaKisha Denise at ladenise@fcps.edu to be added to the photograph list.  

We always welcome the opportunity to see the parents of our amazing students. These photos may be featured on Fairfax County Public Schools website for the month of April in honor of Month of the Military Child.

Watch out for more details to come as we plan on celebrating our unique and strong community of children!

  • Any changes to dismissal must be done before 3:30 PM and must be done in writing.  Please email   FBESUpperOfficeStaff@fcps.edu or send in a note to the teacher AND office for these changes.
  • For early checkouts, we ask that you please notify the teacher.  Children must be checked out before 3:30 PM.  
  • Children cannot be called into the office until a parent is physically in the building, and proper identification has been shown.

    Online payment for student fees and school store items is now available! This online payment service provides a quick and easy way to pay for school-related purchases. You will be able to pay for a variety of school fees using credit/debit cards or electronic checks.

    Enrollment is easy!

    1. Go to www.MySchoolBucks.com  or to the MySchoolBucks link located on your school’s homepage to establish an  account.
    2. Add your student using the name of the school they are attending, and either their student ID or birthdate.
    3. You will receive a confirmation email that your account has been established.
    4. Make purchases with your credit/debit card or electronic checks.
    5. There are no convenience fees for using the online payment system

    Whitman Family Market

    Whitman has partnered with Capital Area Foods to create the Whitman Fresh Foods Market.  The goal of the market program is to help alleviate hunger in our community with a monthly distribution of healthy and nutritious foods for children and families.  There is no obligation, it is a free market, and everyone is welcome!  Just come and shop!
