Congratulations!
We are happy to announce that our very own Dr. Wright has been
recognized as the FCPS Region 5 New Principal of the Year. Earlier this week, Dr.
Frances Ivey, the Region Assistant Superintendent, visited Olde
Creek and presented him with the award. Dr. Wright will move forward as
one of the finalists who will be considered for the FCPS New Principal of the
Year. We are extremely fortunate and honored to have his leadership at Olde
Creek. All of the Olde Creek Bears are very proud of Dr. Wright!
9th Annual OCES Sock Hop on March 16
Due to weather cancellations last week, the 9th Annual OCES Sock Hop was
postponed and it has been rescheduled for Friday, March 16 at 6:00. We hope to
see you there!
Olde Creek Bears Care Community Outreach Program

Your donations provide weekend food provisions to students in need in our
school community. Please drop off your food donations at Olde Creek's front
office during regular office hours by Thursday, March 15th at 3:30pm.

Olde Creek Rockin’ Ropers
Our afterschool jump rope club, the Olde Creek Rockin’ Ropers,
concluded a great season today with two assembly performances for our school. They
were also featured performers during the halftime of Woodson and George Mason
University basketball games. Congratulations to all of our student jumpropers.
A HUGE thank you goes to Ms. Alonso and Ms. Pyatt for coaching the students all
season and to all of the parent volunteers who supported our students.
Technology Donations
Do you have an old tablet, e-reader, or smartphone that is going
unused in your house? We may have a use for some of your old tech devices with
