FCPSOn Community Meetings Scheduled in March
and April; First Stop Is Madison High School on March 14
Want to learn more about FCPS’ plans to extend student learning
and increase equitable access to technology? Attend one of five community
meetings planned in March and April to hear more about FCPSOn and how it leads
to personalized, meaningful learning experiences for students.
FCPSOn provides a device for each student and allows students
opportunities for deeper understanding of content and skills outlined in the
Portrait of a Graduate in order to be successful in the workforce of the
future. The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 14, at Madison
High School. All meetings will begin at 7 p.m.

 6th Grade Basketball Games VS Waples Mill ES
WHO: OES 6th Graders
● Pep Squad: 25 total including both boys and girls - only the first 25 total to sign-up.
● Basketball: 25 boys, 25 girls - only the 1st 25 boys and 1st 25 girls to sign-up.
● Singers: 8 total including boys and girls - only the first 8 total to sign-up.
WHAT: 3rd Annual 6th Grade OES vs. Waples Mill ES basketball game on Fri. 4/27/18 @ 6 - 9pm
● Pep Squad: Cheer, Dance, Sideline Chants, Posters
● Basketball: Girls game, Boys game
● Singers: Pre-game National Anthem along with the Waples Mill ES singers - a capella

MEETINGS & PRACTICES:
● Mandatory! OES before and/or after school between now and April 26. Date/times TBD.
● Must attend practices in order to participate/perform at the game.
WHAT TO WEAR:
● Shirt - green 6th Grade class T-shirt | Shorts - Navy (or dark colored) shorts
● Boys - hair neatly combed and off face | Girls - hair in high ponytail (green or blue bow optional)
● Sneakers - clean and laces tied!
FINAL FRIDAY NIGHT PRACTICE 4/27/18:
● 5pm - Arrive at OHS main gym
● 5 - 5:30pm - Pizza dinner. Please bring $3 for pizza
● 5:30 - 6pm - Final pre-game practices for pep, singers, basketball
