School Updates:
All FCPS schools are closed today. As a result, the following events are canceled:
- Staff vs. Students Basketball
- 6th Grade Career Day
We will provide updates about rescheduling these events as soon as we can.
If FCPS schools are closed tomorrow, the Community Services Board Parent Training will be canceled and rescheduled. Please check the FCPS website for school closings tomorrow.
#breathe: As part of our school-wide goal to teach every student ways
to reduce stress and anxiety, we are asking students to teach parents and guardians one of the
breathing strategies that they have learned this year. This "homework" will be sent home in Thursday folders next week. When students complete their homework with you, please ask why they are teaching you this strategy and when is a
good time to use the strategy. Please sign the form indicating that your student “taught” you the
strategy and have them return the form to their teacher.
School Health Services Survey: The Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD) employs school health aides and public health nurses who provide school health services to the students in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). To determine the quality of these services, a survey has been developed by the FCHD to be shared with all parents or guardians and school staff members who interact with the school health rooms. This may include principals, school counselors, and main office staff members. The survey has been approved for distribution by the FCPS’ Internal Survey Advisory Committee. Access the survey at these links:
