5th grade teacher, Caitlin O'Connor is from
Granby, Connecticut and joined the Forest Edge staff this year. She attended the University of New Hampshire where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in
sociology and a minor in education, and then earned a Master's degree in
elementary education. Last year she taught in West Hartford, Connecticut as a math
intervention tutor with students in grades K-5. When not teaching, she enjoys hiking
and camping.

Come to the Parents' Resource Center on Wednesday, March 7 from 9:15-10:15 AM to share a coffee and meet our new parent liaison, Lubna Mohammed. Ms. Mohammed is excited to meet you and share more about her role supporting Forest Edge families.
The annual 6th grade basketball game vs. Lake Anne is scheduled for Friday, March 9 at South Lakes High School! Come cheer on our teams. Doors open at 6 PM and the teachers play at 6:30 PM. Girls will play at 7 PM and the boys game will begin at 7:45 PM.
Pizza, subs and snacks will be available for purchase at the game.
Remember to show your school spirit by wearing Forest Edge spirit wear or green to school and the game on March 9!
There are 3 ways to purchase tickets:
1. You can pre-purchase tickets now for $4 each by returning the form sent home in your child's Friday folder with payment. Pre-order tickets will be held at will call at the door.
2. You can purchase tickets online at forestedgepta.com for $4 each plus a service fee.
3. You can purchase tickets at the door for $5 each.

3rd grade teacher Ms. Kheav hosted a special mystery reader - a firefighter - who read a Dr. Seuss book to students, then chose a volunteer to try on his gear. |

FEES vs. Lake Anne Basketball Game: Friday, March 9 at South Lakes HS
Orchestra Dress Rehearsal: March 7 and March 15
Students need to have instrument and music for all rehearsals.
Orchestra Concert: School assembly at 9:30 and evening concert at Hughes Middle School at 7:00pm
Kindergarten Orientation: Friday, April 27 from 2-3 PM
Courtney Schilling Memorial 5K: Saturday, April 28
