School Health Services Survey

The Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD) employs school health aides and public health nurses who provide school health services to the students in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). To determine the quality of these services, a survey has been developed by the FCHD to be shared with all parents or guardians and school staff members who interact with the school health rooms.

Electronic versions of the survey forms may be accessed at:

Your Views and Opinions Are Important to Us

This spring a random sample of Sangster Elementary parents will receive the Parent Opinion Survey.  This survey is part of the Performance Evaluation Program and offers parents an opportunity to provide anonymous input about various issues related to our school.  These issues include instructional leadership, school climate, human resources management, organizational management, communication and community relations and professionalism.  The survey will arrive on-line in early March 2018.  If you receive a copy of the Parent Opinion Survey, please take a few minutes to complete and return the survey. We appreciate your time.

Community Flyers

As outlined by FCPS Regulation 1367.2, school principals shall offer options to nonprofit organizations that want to make their materials available to students and parents.  At Sangster during the 2017-18 school year, non-profit organizations will be permitted to send home flyers in the take home folder two times during the year. The final flyer for the 2017-18 school will be going home on March 15, 2018. The fliers must be related to the schools' educational mission and be age-appropriate. Community organizations must submit their materials in advance to the school and must include the disclaimer "These materials are neither sponsored nor endorsed by the Fairfax County School Board, the Superintendent, or this School".  Once approved, the organization will be required to make the copies necessary for distribution.  These copies should be made available to the office at least three days before the distribution date. Any questions can be directed to Marian Hoelscher, at mthoelscher@fcps.edu.
