20th Anniversary T-shirt

1. 20th Anniversary Shirts for Sale: The SCA is selling $10 commemorative 20th Anniversary T-shirts.  All proceeds from the sales of these shirts will benefit the 20th Anniversary Celebration week in April.  Log on to www.myschoolbucks.com to purchase (sign up for an account if you do not already have one).  Select the Carson store and "20th Anniversary Shirt."  The deadline for ordering is Tuesday, April 3.

2. Carson vs. Hughes Basketball Game:  Come watch the Carson vs. Hughes Basketball Game, Friday, March 16, 6:30 PM, at RCMS.  There will be three games, plus a performance by the RCMS Step Team.  Admission is $5.00 and tickets will only be sold at the door the evening of the event.  Pizza and snacks will also be available for purchase.  Come cheer on your RCMS Panthers!

3. Heart & Sole (Girls on the Run):  Registration is now open for the Spring season of Heart & Sole (a Girls on the Run program) at Rachel Carson!  Heart and Sole uses a curriculum to help girls develop the confidence and character they need to become strong and healthy young adults. Register today at www.gotrnova.org before March 9 in order to participate.  The Spring 2018 program will run from March 5-May 20, with program-wide 5k races tentatively scheduled for May 19 and 20. RCMS practices will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:20-4:30PM. The standard fee is $175, and there are military and sibling discounts, financial aid for qualifying families, and payment plans. Other Schools are Sharing....

From South Lakes HS:  Rising 9th grade students are invited to South Lakes High School March 15th from 3:00-4:00PM to meet with IB students and learn about the IB Program.  Meet us in the cafeteria for small group discussions with the people who really know the ins and outs of the IB program at South Lakes High School – our fabulous students. We look forward to meeting our future Seahawks!

Coates Elementary Afterschool Homework Club - Student Volunteers Needed: Do you like to help others with their schoolwork?  Coates is in need of student volunteers for their afterschool homework club.  Service hours will be provided and may be used for NJHS or Civics requirements for 8th graders.  Students will assist mainly with Math but also needed for Reading, Social Studies or Science, as needed. Volunteers are needed starting March 8th through May 7th on Thursday afternoons from 4:05 - 5PM. Interested students should contact Barbara Wilbur at Coates Elementary School ( BLWilbur@fcps.edu ). Students will need to have their own transportation for this volunteer opportunity.
