It’s time to think about spring and order mulch! Consider doing so in a way that supports Lake Braddock’s Class of 2018, LBSS PTSA-sponsored All-Night Graduation Party by ordering mulch from the PTSA. All LBSS parents and communities feeding into Lake Braddock are encouraged to support this effort.
Mulch will be delivered the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, April 7 & 8, 2018. Please have your orders in by deadline -- March 23rd. There are two ways to support this important event:
ORDER MULCH: Once again, we are offering 3-cubic foot bags of JK’s doubleshredded hardwood mulch for $4.75 per bag. Order 15 or more bags and the mulch will be delivered for free! We like to keep delivery within a 9 mile radius of Lake Braddock. Contact James or Steve at mulch@lbssptsa.org if you have questions. Otherwise, pick up at Lake Braddock SS parking lot on Saturday, April 7th. Take advantage of this wonderful bargain and order as much as you can and want! Our recommendation is to calculate what you need and then add 10-20% more just to be safe.

You can either order AND pay online, or click a link at the bottom to print out an order form to complete and mail in to the address given on the form.
Hard copies of the order form are located in the school’s Main Office.
VOLUNTEER TO HELP DELIVER MULCH!: 65 students and 25 adults are needed per shift to help deliver mulch on Saturday and Sunday, April 1 & 2, 2018. Adults are needed to lead teams, drive trucks, drive students, operate forklifts, load trucks, deliver mulch, and help feed the volunteers. Students (high school students only) are needed to help with the mulch delivery by unloading and stacking the bags of mulch from the trucks as well as other jobs. Gather
with friends to form a team. Seniors who help deliver mulch will receive VIP early access to All Night Grad Party Store to have first choices on prizes, like blenders, wireless speakers, dorm items and more!
To volunteer, please see the links below, OR go to www.lbssptsa.org and click on the VOLUNTEER tab at the top of the page, which has volunteer links for adults and students that lead to the respective sign up geniuses. Check with your teachers and club/organization sponsors, your help may count towards service hours. If it does not, help anyway to support the PTSA and its funding of the senior class All Night Grad Party.

High School students may ALSO sign up on the mulch sign up clip board in the school library at the circulation desk (ask for Mrs. Sands). Please note that students cannot sign up via X2VOL; however, we will ask all to record in X2VOL their mulch delivery hours served once they’ve completed their service. If you know of others who may like to order mulch or participate as volunteers, especially friends and family, neighbors, Homeowners or Community Association, coworkers, or business acquaintances, please feel free to forward this to them and have them contact Mulchman James or Steve at mulch@lbssptsa.org.
