A Note from Principal Gros
If you aren't on Twitter, here's a great story that FCPS did on our Shadow a Student event which took place last week. We had 12 staff members shadow a student for a day to build empathy and also to improve the learning experience we offer to students. Thanks to Dean Jason Kagarise for coordinating this event and to our staff members who volunteered to step away from their regular duties and sit on the other side of the classroom for a day.

She was almost deported as a teen. Now she helps frightened versions of herself, Article by Petula Dvorak, Washington Post, 2/15/18
Check
out J.E.B. Stuart High School grad, Liana Montecinos in a recent Washington
Post article, "She was almost deported as a teen. Now she helps frightened
versions of herself." Personally, I have enjoyed watching Liana grow from
student/athlete to community leader. Link: https://goo.gl/453j5p
