Poplar Tree has some amazing young scientists. A huge thank you to Mrs. Melchiori and her team for all of the hard work to make the Science Expo happen.
Lots of fun reading ideas at Poplar Tree. Uncle Slam visits Poplar Tree and even appears on the news to encourage reading.
Poplar Tree is participating in
Jump Rope for Heart!
Our goals for
this program are to increase students’ knowledge of how their hearts work,
teach the importance of heart-healthy habits and to raise funds to support
cardiovascular research and education. Your child will receive a free
glow-in-the-dark wristband just for signing up and have access to fun and
educational games regarding healthy choices. All donations will be online
and the last day is March 23, 2018. The Jump Rope for Heart event will
take place in PE classes the week of March 19 and earned prizes will be given
out throughout the month.
Questions- please contact Mrs. Baranowski at cvbaranowski@fcps.edu
Student
Intention Forms for 2018-19
Student’s Intention for Next School Year Form went home today in Friday Folders. Please complete and return the forms by Friday, March 23. We
need your help in letting us know if your child will be returning to PTES next
year. This will greatly help us in projecting our total enrollment for the next school year.
Is
Your Child Eligible for Kindergarten?
Children who will reach the age of five on or before September
30, 2018 are eligible to attend kindergarten.
If you have a rising kindergarten student, please contact the
Poplar Tree Main Office at: 703-633-7400. We will be mailing
out registration packets in March.
Our office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. You
can also email our registrar, Kirsten Prindle at: kcprindle@fcps.edu for further information.
