Pi Night

McNair is excited to share that on Wednesday, March 14th from 6:00-8:00pm we will be hosting our 7th annual Pi Night! PI stands for Parent Involvement and this year the night will focus on math activities. We invite students and families to learn about math with a variety of games/ activities to participate in. We look forward to seeing you all!

Positivity Project-P2

We finished exploring the trait of fairness today. For the next two weeks we will learn about social intelligence.  This trait focuses on the ability to be aware of other people’s thoughts and feelings.  Social intelligence is in play when in a conversation we know when to talk and when to listen, when we know what to say and what to do to support someone.  This trait is important for all of us as it is needed in building healthy relationships.

Jump Rope for Heart

We are kicking  off Jump Rope For Heart next Tuesday and our event will be running through March 9th. We would like to invite all students, faculty and staff to participate.  We are thrilled to participate as we work together to raise money for the American Heart Association and learn how nutrition and being active can help us live longer, healthier lives.

First things first! We have an easy way for you to raise money online by having your very own fundraising page. Simply follow these steps:

  1. Go to www.heart.org/jump and search for McNair Elementary School
  2. Once you find your school, click on Join the Team
  3. Create a username and password and then fill out the registration form
  4. Share your personal fundraising link with friends and family right away
  5. Download the FREE Mobile app for iPhoneor Android by searching for Jump/Hoops, unlock your monsters and fundraise no matter where you are!

You may already be hearing your student talk about earning a free glow in the dark Square Squad wristband! It’s free just for registering and if you download the mobile app, you can bring it to life and have one of our awesome scare squad monsters teach you about heart health! Once you have your fundraising page, login to your HeadQuarters to get started.

Thank you so much for supporting our school and the American Heart Association. We know you can do this!
