SCHOOL HEALTH SERVICES SURVEY

The Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD) employs school health aides and public health nurses who provide school health services to the students in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). To determine the quality of these services, a survey has been developed by the FCHD to be shared with all parents or guardians and school staff members who interact with the school health rooms. This may include principals, school counselors, and main office staff members. The survey has been approved for distribution by the FCPS’ Internal Survey Advisory Committee.
Parent Survey (English): https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FCPSParent2018
Parent Survey (Spanish): https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2018SpanishP
The survey will take less than five minutes to complete and will provide the FCHD with valuable information.  Your participation in this important endeavor is appreciated.

EXCHANGE PROGRAM WITH FRANCE

Longfellow World Language Department is organizing an exchange program with a school in France. This spring 2018, from April 20 to May 1st, a group of French students will come to visit us, and then from June 19 to June 29, a group of Longfellow students will go to visit France and Belgium, and stay with a French family. We still need 5 families to host the French students and their two teachers. It is a unique experience to welcome a student from another country and show them life in the US. Our trip in June will combine sightseeing in France and Belgium with the unique opportunity to experience everyday life in a French family. You do not have to speak French to host or to travel to France since the French students and their families speak English. If you are interested in hosting or travelling, contact our French teachers Ms. Barrau cbarrau@fcps.edu or Ms. Sezgin tjsezgin@fcps.edu or click on those links https://www.alacartetravel.com/viandier-exchange-2018 and https://www.alacartetravel.com/longfellow-france-2018 .
