Good evening, everyone!
I could not wait until Sunday to share the exciting news that Mrs. Alissa Oginsky, one of our 6th grade History teachers, was surprised today with the news that she is the Region 2 Finalist for Outstanding Secondary Teacher of the Year! Dr. Fabio Zuluaga, our Region 2 Assistant Superintendent, visited her classroom to tell her and her students the news (see pictures below)! We are so proud of Mrs. Oginsky as she joins 4 other teachers across FCPS to be considered for Outstanding Secondary Teacher of the Year district-wide.
We are also proud to announce that two other staff members have been selected to move onto the next round. Christopher Kamar, our Outstanding Leader this year, and James Cho, our Outstanding New Secondary Teacher this year, were both selected as Outstanding Leader and New Secondary Teacher for all Annandale Pyramid schools!
We are so excited to share this news with you and proud to call them Holmes Hawks!
