New Visitor Management System Starts on Monday

FCPS is in the process of implementing a new visitor management system.  At Olde Creek Elementary School, we will begin using this new system on Monday, February 5. It’s fast and simple!  Upon the first visit, visitors will “register” using their driver’s license, DMV identification card, military ID or passport, and have their picture taken by the VMS camera.  Once registered, all you need to do for subsequent visits is simply check in by scanning your license/ID.  A temporary photo badge will print automatically, which the visitor will wear while in the building.  Quick & easy! Thank you for your support.

Chess Club - Parent Coordinator Needed

The Olde Creek PTA is seeking a Parent Coordinator to serve as a liaison with Silver Knights Chess to offer Chess Club as an after-school enrichment program this Spring.  The vendor will handle the bulk of the tasks involved in setting up the class.  A school parent is required to coordinate dates, book the space, and serve as a point of contact. The PTA can’t sponsor this after school activity for students without a parent liaison, so please consider this volunteer position. If you are interested, please contact PTA VP of Student Enrichment, Katelyn Song at perfectlysimple@gmail.com

Calling All Future Kindergarteners!!!

If you have a student who will be in Kindergarten next year or you know of families in our boundary have a future Kindergartener, please help us spread word about our Rising Kindergarten Orientation. This event will take place on April 16 at 1:30. More information will be sent out in the coming weeks, but we wanted to start getting the word out to our families in the community.
