Dear Centreville High School Parents & Students,
This is a reminder to those of you who transport students to
school for A.M. Kiss & Ride Drop Offs. At the beginning of the
2015-2016 School Year we altered the approved locations for Kiss
& Ride Arrivals. Please refer to the attached diagram of the school
grounds for the proper locations to drop off students in the mornings.
Please pay particular attention to the change in the Secondary Kiss
& Ride location from what had been unofficially the Student Parking
Lot near Door 12 to the new official location at the rear of the school near
the back of the Cafeteria and Green House.
We have added signage and pavement markings to assist you in
following the driveway from Union Mill Road past the Stadium to the rear
Faculty Parking Area to drop off students at the rear of the Cafeteria. You
may then exit back toward Union Mill Road or continue around to the back of
the school to the Bus Exit Ramp near the campus border with Braddock Road Park.
The change was made as a result of considerable student and faculty
feedback addressing safety concerns for our student drivers attempting
to park and walk through their Student Parking Lot. The reduction in
vehicular traffic near Door 12 will result in a safer environment for all
concerned.
