Tickets for the Mark Twain Talent Show on February 2 at 7:00 pm
are now available! To purchase yours, go to https://www.itickets.com/events/385626.
Tickets are just $5! If you prefer to pay with cash or check, tickets
will be on sale during lunches on Jan 31, Feb 1, and Feb 2. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
Anyone wishing to attend the Talent Show must purchase their ticket in advance.

Rising 9th grade transition season is upon us! Please
see below regarding rising 9th grade transition information for Lee
High School, Hayfield Secondary School, and Edison High School. You may
also visit each school’s website for additional information regarding rising 9th
grade transition events and other pertinent information.
Lee High School
Lee High School counselors Jennifer Rogin-Marks (jroginmarks@fcps.edu)
and Marisa Meiser (msmeiser@fcps.edu)
visited Twain for a rising 9th grade information session and course
selection on January 10. Students were sent home with a blank course selection
sheet to be completed with a parent or guardian. All course selection sheets
are due back to Ms. Pilotti in Student Services by Wednesday, January 31.
Hayfield Secondary School
Hayfield SS counselor Ghil Hong visited Twain for rising 9th
grade course selection on Tuesday, January 16. Students made preliminary course
selections during the session and were given a photo copy to take home for
review with a parent or guardian. If any changes need to be made, please
contact Mr. Ghil Hong, Hayfield SS counselor, at gohong@fcps.edu.
Edison High School
Edison’s Rising 9th Curriculum Night will be February
27. Please contact Edison High School Student Services for more information
regarding that event.
Edison HS counselors will be at Twain on Monday, March 12, to
provide a general overview of 9th grade courses to all 8th
graders through Health & PE classes. Students will have the opportunity to
hear about core courses, electives, and a general overview of freshman year.
Counselors will return to Twain on Thursday, March 15, and Friday, March 16, to
sit down with individual students for course selection. Students will be given
a copy of their selections to bring home for your review.
