2-Hour Early Dismissal: Thursday, January 25 at 12:55pm
Thursday is a 2-Hour Early Dismissal at
12:55pm. All students are expected to leave
the school at that time unless they are with a teacher, coach, or a sponsor.
Student Holidays: January 26 and 29
Students should report back to school on Tuesday,
January 30.
New
Traffic Pattern
There will be a new traffic pattern beginning
Tuesday, January 30th. The
old main entrance will be closed off. All late buses and
field trip buses will be moving to the new
Main Entrance #1 as of January 31. A
map of the new traffic flow will be emailed by the weekend.
No Drop off Reminder
We
no longer accept drop off items in the main office of any sort for students. We
cannot be responsible for the property and we cannot logistically handle daily
drop offs for hundreds of students.
Students
Enrolled in AP Courses
AP
exam opt-out forms were distributed to earlier this month. FCPS pays for the
first six AP tests taken by each student for courses in which they are
enrolled. Students choosing to take one or more tests beyond the cumulative,
six FCPS-funded exams will be charged a fee of $93 per AP test. Students who do
not return a signed opt-out form to Mary Halfhill in Student Services by Friday,
February 2, 2018 will be registered for all AP tests associated with current
courses and will be charged fees as outlined above. Contact AP Academic

2018 Annual Mulch Sale
The
West Springfield High School Touchdown Club Boosters are pleased to announce
our 2018 Annual Mulch Sale.
The WSHS Touchdown Club Boosters supports our WSHS Spartans football teams by
providing assistance and support in the form of services, funds, uniforms and
equipment, assist students who otherwise may not be able to participate in all
aspects of the football program. Our high-quality double-shredded hardwood
mulch is guaranteed to be free of additives, chemicals or dyes and comes in
3-cubic-foot bags (mulch from other sellers typically comes in a standard
2-cubic foot bag). Our
prices remain at a low $5 per bag. Spring is just around the
corner. Order deadline is now through
March 30th.
